My name is Andrew. This is where I tumble. You can expect a scrap book of a peculiar subset of popculture, and other things that catch my attention. I also run Analog Revolution (which can be found in the links.)
“Robert Metcalfe, researcher at PARC, invented Ethernet as a way to connect Xerox printers and the Alto computer,” Xerox spokesman Bill McKee said on Monday. “But inventing Ethernet is not the same as inventing the internet.”
In other words, don’t confuse a network of computers with the birthplace of TCP/IP and lolcats.
Don’t care what the article is about. Would kill, or do other things, to get my hands on a working Alto minicomputer. Don’t know what I’d do with it once I got it (probably use it as a smart terminal.)
But Damn. Look at it. I want it. I want it. Oh I want it for my own.
